在AS-Interface 2.1 版本下，最多62个 I/O模块可以被连接到一个AS-Interface 网络中。在最新的 AS-Interface 3.0版本下, 将I/O 容量从124 个输入124 个输出，增加到每网络1000 个I/O。当使用AS-Interface 智能型传感器，这类传感器可以直接被接入网络中, 一个网络最多可以连接62个智能传感器。
AS - Interface现场模块提供了一个强大，紧凑，圆形设计，创新性密封外壳的概念，特别适用于机械装备和过程自动化应用的理想选择。
清洗工序的蒸汽吸尘器，压力冲洗，和较高的机械应力，不影响G11模块的性能。即使在这种恶劣的环境条件下, 也可以快速方便地连接传感器和驱动器的一个AS-Interface。
G11模块无需成形配件提供了IP68/IP69k 的最高防护等级。光滑的表面防止灰尘积聚。紧凑,圆形的设计使得设备安装适用于每一个角落。紧凑G11 模块在M12端口显示输出负荷，输出端具备高电流评估。模块与“AS-Interface POWER24”相兼容。
