PCV二维条码定位系统使用二维条码进行准确定位。该系统的核心是读取头。它由一个摄像头模块，内置灯部件，用来读取和解码位置码，即印刷在不干胶码带上的二维代码。
通常编码条贴于电梯轴承周围的墙壁上或安装输送单轨之上。该传感器的读取头安装在平移的“车辆”上，如置于电梯轿厢或单轨底盘之上。
码带可长达10公里。这样的定位系统可不受限地运用于巨大的厂房设施。凭借全面和简易的编程，可设置的输入和输出，读取头可以根据特定应用的需要进行最优设置。
PCV二维条码定位系统不仅为设备的初期调试提供所需的最大灵活性和适应性，也考虑了以后的改进和变化。多达999个不同的事件标记可放置在所需的位置。无需软件便可直接控制进程。
