PGV系统是世界上第一个基于Data Matrix码实现位置定位，追踪和控制系统。利用先进的工业二维摄像头，PGV不仅能引导AGV小车沿着导航码带（颜色码带）和位置码带移动。还能通过本体视觉识别功能实现车辆启动，停止或者转弯等功能。它是一种亚毫米级精准绝对位置定位系统。
Data matrix数据矩阵码，可在邮票大小的条码标签上存入更多的数据信息，它现已广泛应用于商业和消费领域。但在工业自动化领域，数据矩阵码的全部潜力直到现在才被发掘。通过将这种强大技术融入传统的AGV控制中，物流技术将提升到一个全新的技术。
