可以将4 ~20 mA设备连接到远程I/O，例如流量变送器、阀门定位器、压力传感器或者温度变送器。诸如热电偶（TCs）、电阻式温度检测器（RTDs）、机械触点以及声光报警器等设备也可以连接到远程I/O。我们的远程I/O系统能够兼容PROFIBUS DP, MODBUS RTU, MODBUS TCP/IP 和 FOUNDATION fieldbus等网络协议。
LB远程I/O系统能够安装于危险区 Zone2或者Zone 22以及安全区。该系统是模块化的信号处理系统，是现场信号和安全区的控制系统之间的接口界面。LB远程I/O系统通过标准的总线通讯协议（PROFIBUS, Modbus 等），将传统的传感器和现场设备的信号传送给DCS。可插拔的输入和输出模块能够在线热插拔。
单通道和四通道温度输入模块用于连接Pt100热电阻、热电偶、滑线传感器和mV信号。
该转换器接受2 -，3 -，4线RTD信号（Pt100…Pt1000）和滑线传感器从现场。通过温度也可以连接。检测到断路和短路故障。
