VBA-4E4A-G4-ZE是一个AS-Interface G4系列4输入4输出模块。可以连接4个输入，2-或 3-线传感器(PNP), 或者机械触点。传感器由模块供电。输出为晶体管输出，每个输出最大24V DC 1 A。
IP67的防护等级使得G4模块适合应用于恶劣工业场合。夹紧弹簧端子和电缆格兰使得安装非常的方便和可靠。对于这个系列的模块编址，可以将它直接插在手持式编址器VBP-HH1上。每个通道的状态都有一个相应的LED指示，位于模块的上方。模块内部集成有通讯监视功能。当总线通讯出现故障时，输出可断开。
扁平电缆和圆电缆都可用于连接AS-Interface网络和24V DC辅助电源连接。可以使用U-G1F或U-G1FF扁平电缆底座。标准的EEMS接口使用了穿刺技术以连接AS-Interface电缆。U-G1F底座同样可以用作IP67的AS-Interface分线盒。当模块带有输出功能时，应使用U-G1FF底座。辅助电源的扁平电缆可以被连接到这个底座上。模块本身并不为输出供电。使用U-G1P或U-G1PP底座，可以连接园电缆。它们和U-G1F, U-G1FF底座功能相同。
提示：模块有通讯监视功能。这个功能被激活后，当AS-Interface网络超过40 ms没有通讯时，输出会断电。输入输出过载信号会通过故障诊断位相应的传送给网关，但并不影响AS-Inter-face其它组件正常通讯。
