在AS-Interface 2.1 版本下，最多62个 I/O模块可以被连接到一个AS-Interface 网络中。在最新的 AS-Interface 3.0版本下, 将I/O 容量从124 个输入124 个输出，增加到每网络1000 个I/O。当使用AS-Interface 智能型传感器，这类传感器可以直接被接入网络中, 一个网络最多可以连接62个智能传感器。
