超声波传感器可用于灰尘，雾或蒸汽的场合，是进行非接触式的位置和距离测量的理想产品。在不考虑颜色或形状的情况下，不同材料的物体可以通过毫米级的精度被检测出。
双张检测系统是对射型传感器的一种特殊的运用而设计的。这种运用起初是为印刷行业而设计的，超声波对射型传感器用于检测纸或薄片的厚度。
超声波双张检测器适用于识别：无纸，单张或双张纸;基底材料;带标签的基底材料。
超声波双张检测器用于自动和高速地分辨基底材料，标签，单张纸和双张纸，从而达到保护机器防止生产过程中的浪费。整个系统包括一个超声波发射器，一个超声波接收器和一个外置或者内置在接收器里的处理器。这些组件出厂时已经配置完好，不能分开来使用。

4、应用在账单计数的机器上超声波双张检测可确定银行的账单是否被正确地计数；
