对于大多数的控制系统而言，常常需要将输入信号转换为系统可接受的信号模式。那么信号调节器的功能就是将各种现场信号，例如热电偶，热电阻转换为多种标准的仪表信号(1…5V, 4…20 mA, 等.)。
信号调节器对于信号的精确传输、信号的隔离以及防止信号干扰等方面起到很大的作用。
这个信号调节器省IDES的隔离场电路和控制电路之间的。典型的该装置的应用程序远程复位，火灾报警测试或远程校准应变计。输出电隔离网络的输入。输入不极化和共享一个共同的参考电位。每个输入的设备是通过熔断器和保护电子限流。
